World Lake Day!
All life depends on freshwater, yet there is limited global awareness of the importance of lakes. To address this, we are launching a Day of Global Action for Lakes to highlight their significance. At the UN Water Conference in March 2023, the need for collaboration toestablish a World Lake Day was recognized to raise awareness about lakes.Indonesia, home to around 2,000 lakes, is leading the effort to push for a UNresolution to officially designate this day, building on the momentum of theSustainable Lake Management Resolution adopted at UNEA 2022.To amplify this mission, we are kicking off a #WorldLakeDay campaign.
Please join the #campaign to promote
the establishment of World Lake Day!
