ILEC participated in the 8th World Water Forum held in Brasilia, Brazil during March 18-23, 2018. In collaboration with the Shiga Prefectural Government, we had a showcase at Japan Pavilion in the EXPO venue,and also organized a special session under Political Process, themed “Integrated Management of Lakes and Their Linked Water System: the Socio-Economic and Scientific Challenges to Sustainable Ecosystem Service”. It was the second time in a row for ILEC to take part in the World Water Forum, after the previous one held in South Korea in 2017.
