ILEC has signed an agreement with UNEP to renew the MOU which is effective until December 31, 2026. Using this occasion, we also agreed to amend the areas of collaboration to incorporate the latest developments as follows:
(1) To infuse “Mainstreaming Lakes and other Lentic Water Systems” into upgraded Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM)
(2) To jointly develop the initiatives of UNEP and ILEC, including the Mainstreaming of Lakes into the Global Water Agenda, and the World Water Quality Alliance (WWQA).
(3) To jointly develop Programmes and Training to enhance individual and institutional capacity for building an effective ILBM Platform.
