International Lake Environment Committee (ILEC) coordinated a follow-up Program in New Delhi, India during Dec. 9-11, 2019 for Past Trainees of JICA Integrated Lake Basin Management (ILBM) training course. ILBM training is held in accordance with SDG No.6 on Clean Water and Sanitation.
Past ILBM trainees studied ILBM Platform Process and some actual activities in JAPAN. This time we arranged to join various Stakeholders of various Lakes in India, so that the Past Trainees could find and develop new action plans through discussion with various people. At the same time we convened a Technical Seminar on water security technologies attended by Japanese Companies namely, Horiba Advanced Technology, Mitsubishi Chemical and Hiyoshi Corporation. These technologies are absolutely needed in India. Participants had a nice opportunity to study such useful technologies.
